Radiology

About our Department

We are a team of dedicated subspecialty radiologists, technologists and nurses, and managers who provide exemplary care to our patients.

The San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC) Radiology Department is affiliated with the University of California San Francisco Medical Center (UCSF), City College of San Francisco Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Program, and with the Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts Ultrasound Program.  We educate a diverse group of health care workers including Radiology Residents and Radiology Technologists.  In medicine, education involves teaching by example, didactic instruction, supervised practical experience, and self-teaching activities.  Our mission is to provide educational opportunities that are comprehensive and challenging.

Our work is shaped by the highest ethical principles and standards.
