Local Patient Access Data
Regularly updated patient access data is available for all VA Medical Centers and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics including average wait times, number of patients waiting for a scheduled appointment and number of patients that cannot be scheduled for an appointment in 90 days or less. At the San Francisco VA Health Care System, we have established a number of procedures to assist you in getting an appointment without a long delay. Our goals are simple:
- You should be able to see your primary care provider timely.
- You should have faster access to specialty care.
If you have received a postcard stating that you need to make an appointment, please call the clinic at the number listed on the postcard.
Changing Your Appointment
For a listing of your current appointments, please call the San Francisco Medical Center Autophone at (415) 750-2234 and follow the prompts.
You may also reach the Autophone toll-free by calling (877) 487-2838 and selecting option 4.
If you cannot keep an existing appointment, please contact us as soon as you are aware you cannot make your appointment by calling toll-free (877) 487-2838 and selecting option 2. This will allow us to reschedule you sooner as well as schedule one of your fellow veterans for the original appointment date and time. You may also leave a message at that number about your preferences for rescheduling your appointment.
