San Francisco VA Health Care System
Volunteer or Donate
The San Francisco VA Health Care System depends on the goodwill of our benefactors and volunteers who wish to give something back to America's heroes.
Donations provide for the increasing needs of the Veterans we serve. Cash donations go to Veteran patient programs, homeless Veteran programs, social services, support groups, and other programs that directly help Veterans.
Donate Online with E-Donate
Our simple, safe and speedy E-Donate service allows supporters to easily give their support online. The actual donation is made through a secure Department of the Treasury site. A minimum of $5 is required for online donations, and you can donate by any electronic means commonly used on the Internet today (e.g., credit card or debit card). Please choose the San Francisco VA Medical Center, select an amount to donate, and you choose how your donation will support local Veterans.
Please click on the "Make a Difference"/E-Donate button on this page. We have many ongoing programs that need your support. Please give what you can.
Your tax-deductible gift can take many forms: cash, check, donating through trusts, bequests, estate planning, or Wills. Please call the Voluntary Service office at (415) 750-2144 for more information and an appointment.
Non-cash constributions are used solely for the comfort and welfare of our Veteran patients. Needed are such items as: current magazines and books, coffee and cookies, new clothing, telephone cards, Canteen books, and many other items.

"Pay it Forward" by Volunteering
Voluntary Service needs you! You can express gratitude for everything you have by "paying it forward" to help your community and our Medical Center. Are you good at something special? Volunteering at our Medical Center gives you the platform to share your knowledge and skills.
Volunteers provide many important functions throughout the Medical Center to help make our Veterans' stay more enjoyable. One of the most precious gifts is that of your time. We have many positions in our facility that are waiting to be filled by individuals and groups that are willing and able to give of themselves. Let us find a position that suits your skills, interests and schedule.
