Golf Cart Drivers

Volunteer Van Drivers

Help transport outpatients receiving chemotherapy, dialysis, radiation therapy, or other outpatient treatments. To fill this role, you must have a current driver’s license, automobile insurance and pass a physical exam. Drivers are especially needed for Santa Rosa, Clearlake, Ukiah, and Fort Bragg.

Customer Service Concierge

Friendly greeter to patients and visitors. Help patients and visitors with information and clinic locations. Hours: 8 a.m. - 12 noon, or 12 noon - 4 p.m.


Provide assistance with pushing patients in escort "Staxi" chairs to their scheduled appointments. 

Parking Lot Golf Cart Drivers

Help outpatients in our large parking areas with access to the Medical Center. To fill this role, you must have a current driver’s license. Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., or 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Volunteer Office Assistants

Help different medical or administrative offices in the medical center. Duties include filing, answering phones, and greeting and directing patients. Hours: 8 a.m. - 12 noon., or 12 noon - 4 p.m.

Hospitality Beverage Cart

Deliver beverages to outpatient clinics and waiting areas. Hours: 8 - 10 a.m., or 1 - 3 p.m.

Comfort Article Coordinators

Assist and support nursing staff on inpatient units providing comfort articles and special attention to patients as needed. Open hours.


To play acoustical instruments at special events.

Magazine/Book Cart

Sort donated magazines and books and take the cart to designated waiting areas. Open hours.

Mail Room Assistants

Complete mail room projects and deliver mail to medical center departments. Open hours.

Research Assistant Volunteers

Help with database entry, complex filing in highly regulated environment. Open hours.

Volunteer Licensed Massage Therapists

Under the supervision of the Wellness Coordinator, licensed massage therapist volunteer giving light touch chair massage to Veterans. Open hours.
