San Francisco VA to expand COVID-19 vaccinations
Friday, January 15, 2021The San Francisco VA will be contacting Veterans age 75 and older to schedule COVID-19 vaccinations. If you are an eligible Veteran, please expect to receive a text or phone call in the next one to two weeks to schedule your vaccination appointment.
Please do NOT call the San Francisco VA to inquire about vaccinations. Currently, operators and staff will not be able to schedule Veterans who call in for a COVID vaccination.
We hope to soon expand vaccination to all Veterans age 65 and older as supplies permit in order to align with the state of California. Specific guidelines and protocols will be distributed to outpatient clinics and teams to inform and prepare Veterans. Our goal is to vaccinate as many high-risk Veterans as possible as quickly as possible with available vaccine supplies and then rapidly expand to lower-risk groups.
We encourage you to check for COVID vaccination information updates at https://www.sanfrancisco.va.gov/, follow us on Facebook. Stay informed or express your interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at the following web site: www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/stay-informed.
