SFVAMC Offers E-Donate to Support Local Veterans
San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC) now offers E-Donate, an online donation option for community members who wish to give back to Veterans at the Medical Center. E-Donate is a simple, safe, and quick way to pledge support to the fund of your choice.
Donations to SFVAMC provide Veteran patients with such things as recreation programs, homeless Veterans’ services, holiday gifts, phone cards, and more.
“We’ve known for years that our friends and neighbors want to show their support to our Veterans who defended their freedoms,” said Voluntary Service Chief Owetdia Dupree. “While not everyone will have the time to volunteer, now anyone can take five minutes online to thank Veterans in any number of ways.”
The E-Donate option allows patrons to select from a number of funds at the Medical Center to which they donate. Additionally, VA administrative costs are all ready appropriated by Congress, so those who contribute can be assured that 100 percent of their donations go to the funds they select and the Veteran patients they are choosing to support. You can also donate in honor of or in memory of a loved one, or other person of your choice.
“Donated money at our Medical Center goes toward whatever cause the donor designates,” said Dupree. “People would be amazed if they could see how far their dollar goes toward making a difference in the lives of the Veterans who dedicated themselves to us first.”
Contributors may mark their donation as:
• All-purpose and Non-designated
• Veterans Comfort Items
• Community Living Center – Residents
• Inpatients Spouse/Family House Support
• Canteen Coupon Books
• Volunteer Recognition/Appreciation
• Christmas Fund
• General Recreation – Veterans
• North Bay Vet Center
• Veterans Outreach Center
• Pets for Veterans
• Veterans Exercise Program – YMCA
• Welcome Home Celebration - Veterans
