Prescription Refills
We offer several fast, easy and convenient ways for patients to refill their prescriptions:

 

Phone:

Call the VA Autophone (Automated Telephone Refill System) at:

800-847-3203 (Toll-Free) or 415-750-2233

Patients can order prescription refills or check on the status of your prescriptions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Internet:

• Refill your prescriptions online at www.myhealth.va.gov.

(You will need a user id and password to log in. If you do not have one, you can easily get one by creating your personal profile).

Mail:

Important Reminders

• Prescription refills will be mailed to your address of record.  They cannot be refilled at our Pharmacy windows.
• Prescription refills may take up to two weeks to arrive. Prevent delays in receiving your medication by ordering your refills in advance.
• Be sure we have your correct address and phone number.
• When ordering refills by phone or internet, have the following information ready:
  • Your full 9-digit Social Security Number.
  • Prescription number(s) from your most recent prescription bottle or package. 

Prescription Co-Payment

Some patients may be responsible for a co-payment for medication. The determination for payment will be based upon your current established eligibility and service connection. If you have any questions, please call 866-347-2353.

Please visit MyHealtheVet for information about any prescription you may be taking.

Pharmacy Advice

If you have questions about your prescription medications, please call the VA Autophone at 800-847-3203 (Toll-Free) or 415-750-2233. A pharmacy staff member can answer your questions and provide advice about your medications, possible side effects and drug interactions.

Available 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Pharmacy Service

Outpatient Pharmacy Services are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Our Pharmacy service cannot issue medications or supplies prescribed by private physicians. We fill only those written by San Francisco VA or authorized Fee Basis physicians.
