The San Francisco VA Medical Center’s Medical (SFVAMC) Director, Lawrence Carroll, has accepted a promotion and an appointment as the new director of the VA NW Health Network (VISN 20) in Vancouver, Washington.
“Larry Carroll’s sound leadership qualities and proven experience will be valuable assets for the VISN, the employees and volunteers, and most importantly, for the Veterans we are honored to serve,” said William Schoenhard, Deputy Under Secretary for Health Care Operations and Management.
Carroll, a US Army Veteran, has served more than 30 years in the VA and has held progressive leadership positions at SFVAMC, the Sierra Pacific Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 21) and the VA Northern California Health Care System. “For nearly four years I have had the honor of being your Director, and during this time I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated, committed and talented people,” said Carroll to all SFVAMC employees. “Your commitment to our Veterans is unparalleled, and I am honored to have been able to be part of this team of professionals.”
“Thank you for all you do, day in and day out, to ensure our Veterans are treated with the dignity, honor and respect they deserve,” said Carroll. “I will always cherish my time as Director at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and will look forward to our paths crossing in the future.”
