Our administrative hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Emergencies are seen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Please contact our Telephone Care Line if you need medical advice, have a question about your medication, or need to schedule a non-urgent appointment. The Telephone Care Line is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Patient Experience Specialists

Veterans Service Officers
The San Francisco County Veterans Service Office* maintains an office at the Medical Center Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Building 2, First Floor, Room 169. Their number is (415) 221-4810, ext. 5613.
A Veterans Benefits representative is available on Fridays in Building 2, First Floor, Room 169, from 1 – 4 p.m. He may be reached at (510) 520-8227.
An AMVETS representative is available Monday – Thursday from 7 a.m. – 12 noon, and Monday - Friday from 1 – 3 p.m., in Building 2, Ground Floor, Room 71. To make an appointment call (415) 750-2157. Walk-ins are welcome.
Veterans Service Officers help Veterans and their dependents with the filing of complex claims for various benefits they are eligible to receive.

VA has established an inquiry routing and information system which provides answers to frequently-asked questions. You may also use this system to submit a comment, question, or concern. (Please note that this is a national program and not operated by the San Francisco VA Medical Center.)
