San Francisco VA Medical Center offers a variety of health services to meet the needs of our nation's Veterans. For additional contact information you may also view our phone directory or A to Z List of Services.

Our administrative hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Emergencies are seen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Veterans Service Officers

The San Francisco County Veterans Service Office* maintains an office at the Medical Center Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Building 2, First Floor, Room 169. Their number is (415) 221-4810, ext. 5613.

A Veterans Benefits representative is available on Fridays in Building 2, First Floor, Room 169, from 1 – 4 p.m. He may be reached at (510) 520-8227.

An AMVETS representative is available Monday – Thursday from 7 a.m. – 12 noon, and Monday - Friday from 1 – 3 p.m., in Building 2, Ground Floor, Room 71. To make an appointment call (415) 750-2157. Walk-ins are welcome.

Veterans Service Officers help Veterans and their dependents with the filing of complex claims for various benefits they are eligible to receive.
