We are constantly working to provide more excellent service and care for our nation’s heroes. This includes renovations and improvements to enhance health care for veterans. Each of our projects is an opportunity to improve the delivery of services to America's heroes.
Ongoing Construction:
The availability of parking is one of the San Francisco VA Medical Center’s biggest challenges. In an important step to address this issue, we have built a new patient parking garage on the surface of Parking Lot A. That garage is now open!
In addition, on March 21, 2011, we began work on our North Slope Stabilization project. This project built a retaining wall along the north side of our campus to protect from slope movement and slipage. This project is nearing completion.
Sausalito Research Project
VA has initiated a cultural resources investigation for our Sausalito Research Center project in accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act. The project site is located at 25 Liberty Ship Way in Sausalito. Learn more.
